Dallas Burston Polo Club is proud to announce that HRH Princess Katarina of Yugoslavia will be the Guest of Honour, and First Lady of House Music Kym Mazelle and Brit and Mobo award winner Lemar will make special guest appearances at the seventh annual DBPC Polo in the Park 2012, in aid of Help for Heroes, on Sunday 16th September, 11am-8pm.
HRH Princess Katarina of Yugoslavia, a descendent of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, will be presenting The Dallas Burston Cup to the winning polo team alongside the Dallas Burston Polo Club owner, Dr Dallas Burston. Kym Mazelle, whose wide range of credits include 1980’s and 1990’s hits Young Hearts Run Free, No More Tears and Was That All It Was, will be making a special guest appearance as a member of ‘The Royal Amaranther Society’ and will be presenting The Amaranther Trophy to the winning polo team alongside fellow Amaranther members Ulf Karneman and party provocateur Matthew Devlen of Shinesquad. Prince and Princess James Galitzine of Russia will also be attending and presenting the prizes for The Royal Artillery Exhibition Game.
This annual highlight of the Warwickshire social calendar will treat guests to a day of:
- Magnificent jousting displays by the unstoppable Knights of Middle England
- Polo – including the finals of The Amaranther Trophy and The Dallas Burston Cup, The Finals of the Midland’s 4 Goal Championships and The Royal Artillery Exhibition Game.
- An exclusive live performance by the highly acclaimed Warwickshire County Choristers (finalists in the BBC Choir of the Year 2010). This sensational choir consists of up to 80 local boys aged between 8-14 years old, gathered together from a wide social spectrum, but who share one common love – singing.
- The Jaguar Landrover Brass Band
- Exclusive performances by Janey & The Vagabonds and Mel Peake singing Frank Sinatra
- The Hook Norton Shire Horses
- Shopping village & food fair (including hog roasts)
- Extensive fun fair including giant bouncy castles
- ‘Mini’ farm & pony rides
The day promises to provide something for everyone with tickets at just £5 per adult, £10 per family of four and concessions at £3. This cost-effective pricing is designed to open up polo to everyone whilst providing an enjoyable day out for the entire family.
